Privacy Policy

Who we are
NorthCourse Systems operates the NorthCourse field operations platform, accessible at northcoursesystems.com. When this policy says "we," "us," or "our," it means NorthCourse Systems. When it says "you," it means you — the person or business using our platform.
What we collect and why
Account information
Your name, email address, and organization name when you sign up. We use this to create your account, communicate with you, and identify your organization in the platform.
Operational data you enter
Job records, customer information, site locations, asset details, crew data, flight logs, compliance records, and anything else you put into the platform. This is your data — we store it to make the platform work for you.
Usage and technical data
Pages visited, features used, device type, browser, and IP address. We use this to understand how the platform is being used and to fix problems. We do not sell this data.
Payment information
Billing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or full payment details. We receive confirmation of transactions and your billing email.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
- We do not use your operational data to train AI models without your explicit consent.
- We do not send marketing emails to your customers on your behalf.
- We do not share your data with other organizations using the platform.
Who we share data with
We use a small number of third-party services to operate the platform:
- Supabase — Database and authentication hosting
- Stripe — Payment processing
- Vercel — Application hosting and delivery
- Google Maps — Site mapping and navigation
Each of these providers has their own privacy policies and data handling practices. We share only what's necessary for the service to function.
Data retention
We keep your account data as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your data within 90 days unless we are required to keep it longer by law. Operational records (job logs, compliance documents) may be retained in archived form for legal and regulatory compliance purposes.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Provide a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and associated data
- Explain how specific data is being used

Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel. We use row-level security on our database so each organization can only access its own data. That said, no system is perfectly secure — if you discover a vulnerability, please contact us directly.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify you by email or with a banner inside the platform before the changes take effect. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version.
